The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

CRS (Canada express entry comprehensive Ranking System ) is a point based system , according to which applications are filed and are placed in pool for evaluation and placement .In case of a married person , under the CRS system , it is beneficial if the applicant as well as the spouse submit their IELTS and WES report summaries . Applicants filing the on-line express entry form are required to provide information relating to their Qualifications ,Experience , Occupation ,Language skills ,Canadian Education ,Canadian experience ,Spousal language skills and information regarding any blood relations in Canada. Applicants will be asked to state their preference of province for settling in Canada .Regular draws are taken from the ' pool'. Candidates are selected according to point-based ranking .Those with confirmed jobs will be higher in ranking and will accordingly be entitled to early selection under Canada FSW express entry program. It is NOT a certainty that an applicant who has a confirmed job offer from a Canadian Employer will be invited to apply for PR visa

Candidates having confirmed job offer are not expected to be many and hence chances for express entry applications filed in the pool, which are without job offer are likely to be extremely bright. Candidates will require to register their profile in Canada Job Bank from where candidate is chosen by a Canadian employer and given a job offer. Also once you file your application under the express entry pool, chances of you as a provincial nomination increase! Even a provincial nominee, you will get additional points under the comprehensive Ranking system (CRS) , thereby improving chances of moving up in rankings in the pool.

Under Express entry program is that almost all occupations are now eligible for filing the application under the federal skilled worker program. Click here to check the complete list of eligible express entry occupations. Candidates who are chosen from the express entry pool must also ensure that they meet the federal points based selection criteria and its requirements. It has been indicated by Citizenship and Immigration Canada that permanent residence applications of candidates picked up from the pool will be processed within six months of being lodged in for Federal stage.

Those getting an invite to apply from the express entry pool must file the next stage of on-line application – complete with all documents – within 60 days of getting the invite.
